Sheldon, Iowa — A building that’s been part of Sheldon for over 100 years is being razed.
The Masonic Temple, which is on the same block as St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and St. Patrick’s School — and across the street from Arlington Plaza — is being demolished.
Officials with St. Patrick’s Catholic Church tell us that the building had been donated to the church. Records indicate construction on the brick building with pillars was started in 1914 and was completed in 1917.
