Rock Rapids, Iowa (KTIV) – A former West Lyon softball coach has pleaded not guilty to felony charges.
Court documents reveal 26-year-old Alexis Severson of Larchwood pleaded not guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation and one count of grooming, all class D felonies. Documents also say the former coach waived her right to a speedy trial.
KTIV-TV reports Severson was arrested on Friday, October 31st. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says Severson was accused of allegedly having a long-term sexual relationship with a student.
After her arrest, Severson posted signature bond and was released from the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids on the day she was booked.
