Four People Taken To Hospital After Monday Accident Near Sioux Center

Sioux Center, Iowa — Four people, including drivers from Ireton and George were taken to a hospital after an accident on Monday, July 1, 2024, near Sioux Center.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at about 2:50 p.m., 59-year-old Lynnette Reekers of Ireton was driving a 2021 Ford Explorer eastbound on 410th Street, a mile east of Sioux Center. They tell us that 18-year-old Quinn Master of George was driving a 2006 Honda Accord northbound on Hickory Avenue, and the vehicles collided in the intersection.

The Reekers Ford sustained about $15,000 in damage, and the Master Honda sustained about $4,000 in damage.

The Sioux Center Ambulance took Reekers, Master, and two passengers in Master’s vehicle to Sioux Center Health.

Reekers was cited on a charge of failure to yield upon entering a through highway.

The Sheriff’s Office tells us the Sioux Center Fire Department, Sioux Center Ambulance Squad, and the Sioux Center Police Department assisted with the response to the accident.
