Rock Valley, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Rock Valley is down to just three available residential lots following last year’s devastating flood, as the city looks ahead to its next phase.
Rock Valley Development Director Adam Rosman says the city had 78 residential lots available before the June 2024 flood. Now, that number has dropped to just three.
Rosman says the drop highlights how quickly things have changed.
The shift reflects both progress in rebuilding and growing pressure on housing in the community.
Rosman says the city has been mapping out what comes next.
He says the next phase will focus on long-term planning, future housing needs, and how land will be used as more properties transition through the recovery process.
