Hawarden Man Faces Felony Burglary Charge

Hawarden, Iowa — A Hawarden man has been arrested on a felony burglary charge after an incident in Hawarden.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the Sioux County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Hawarden Police Department, 42-year-old Kyle Fassett of Hawarden is accused of entering a structure without permission. He was arrested on Wednesday.

In his statement, the officer says Fassett broke into and entered an occupied structure not open to the public, without a right or privilege to do so.

Fassett was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.

No court dates have yet been set in the case.

Fassett was booked into the Sioux County Jail in Orange City, and was released the same day after posting a $5000 bond.
