Sheldon, Iowa — Drivers in the Sheldon area will have a detour to contend with on Wednesday of this week if things go according to plan.
Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl tells us his office has been informed that Highway 18 (West Park Street) will be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad tracks west of 2nd Avenue (or Old Highway 60) for repair this Wednesday, August 20th.
Uhl says he is told the closure will be roughly from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Motorists are asked to use 2nd Avenue (old Highway 60), 330th Street, and Marsh Avenue as the detour.
