Hospers 50s Fundraiser For Fire & EMS Building Is Saturday

Hospers, Iowa — A different kind of fundraiser is happening this weekend in Hospers — and it’s for a much-needed project that the whole community will benefit from.

We had a chance to hear from Mandy Falkena with the Hospers EMS Fundraising Committee. She tells us about their plans.

She tells us the reasons the new facility will be so nice to have.

She says it will probably cost about $2.8 million. They have a little over $2 million committed now.

The fundraiser coming up is on Saturday. Falkena tells us about it.

Most of the events are for freewill donations. She says the poker run does have a $25 per-person entry fee. She says you don’t have to sign up for anything — just show up on Saturday and bring the family. It starts at 11:30 a.m. with the poker run.

For more information, you can check the Hospers Fire & EMS Facebook page.
