Sheldon, Iowa — If you’ve been looking up in western Sheldon, you may have noticed a new logo painted on one of the feed mills. The logo is a big “H,” and it’s the symbol of the Hull Coop.
Robert Radcliffe is the Feed Department Manager for Hull Coop, and he tells us that their company has purchased the former Purina Feed Mill in Sheldon.
He tells us why they bought the former Purina mill.
He says the equipment is new and state-of-the-art.
Radcliffe says they buy grain from the farm and from other suppliers, but Sheldon will not be a grain hub for them, as they don’t have the storage space for that. He says the grain will come from their Hull facility.
He tells us that they have already reached out to Sheldon High School, because they want to be a part of the community.
The blue and green logo was painted high on the mill building on Wednesday.
