IARN – In order to be an effective grassroots organization, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association needs leaders who are willing to step up and take on the issues facing the cattle industry. The Iowa Cattlemen’s Leadership Program helps develop those leaders, and participants in the program were sent to Washington D.C. last week. Iowa Cattlemen’s Association (ICA) CEO Bryan Whaley and Shelby Cornelius, a young producer and participant in the Iowa Cattlemen’s Leadership Program, discussed the program on the most recent episode of the Beltway Beef Podcast. Whaley said the program is made up of several programs throughout the year that participants must attend.
