Hawarden, Iowa — In addition to it being Celebration Days in Sheldon this weekend, Big Sioux River Days is also underway in Hawarden.
Sunday activities feature everything from an outdoor vendor fair to live entertainment, a bean bag tournament to a home run derby, and fireworks to the Little Miss Big Sioux River Days Crowning Ceremony.
Labor Day Monday has such activities as a community breakfast, bull riding, a quilt show, a vendor fair, and pie à la mode at the First Baptist Church. There’s also a kids parade at 1:15, with the grand parade to follow, and lots of activities in the park after the parade.
