Little Rock Man Could Face 25 Years In Prison If Convicted Of Sex Abuse Of A Child

Little Rock, Iowa — A Little Rock man has been arrested after he allegedly had sexual contact with a child.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 34-year-old Jose Vasquez of Little Rock is accused of sexual contact with a child. He was arrested on Wednesday.

In her statement, the deputy says that during the winter of 2022, Vasquez is accused of committing a sex act with a child.

Vasquez was charged with second-degree sexual abuse, a class B felony. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison.

He faces a preliminary hearing on the charge on June 17th.

At last report, Vasquez remained in the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
