Luverne, MN 18-Year-Old Girl Faces Serious Felony Charge; Accused Of Giving Controlled Substances To A Minor At MOC/FV

Orange City, Iowa — A Luverne, Minnesota 18-year-old has been arrested on drug distribution charges after an alleged incident in Orange City.

According to a criminal complaint, 18-year-old Jaycee Chapa of Luverne is accused of providing controlled substances to a minor on February 26th. Authorities say the alleged incident took place near a school. Chapa was arrested on a warrant on Friday.

In his statement, the officer says Chapa was in possession of several vapes and gummies. He says she gave THC products to a 15-year-old in her vehicle in the MOC-Floyd Valley High School parking lot.

Chapa was charged with distributing a drug near a school, a class B felony. If convicted, she could face up to 25 years in prison. She also faces one count of marijuana possession.

No court dates have yet been set in the case.

Chapa was booked into the Sioux County Jail in Orange City and was released the same day after posting ten percent of a $25,000 bond.
