Heritage Days Now Going On In Rock Rapids

Rock Rapids, Iowa — The annual Heritage Days summer festival is underway in Rock Rapids.

There’s a medallion hunt and a kids’ theatre production of Moana Jr.

This Friday there’s a waffle breakfast, a business promotion, a community luncheon and craft sale to benefit missions, an open house of Rosie’s Loft, a burnout contest, races at the speedway and a cruise night.

Saturday’s activities include open golfing, a road race and kids run, popcorn at the Rapids Theatre, a parade, food vendors, a brat feed at the VFW, a “show and shine,” a bean bag tournament, face painting, inflatables, touch-a-truck, live entertainment, the Depot Museum will be open, fire department water wars, an all-school reunion, figure-8 races and a street dance.

On Sunday, the open golf continues, there’s a community church service in Island Park (or at the First Reformed Church if it rains or the grounds are wet), a soap box derby, and the Depot Museum will be open again.

That’s all in Rock Rapids for Heritage Days this weekend. Click here for the schedule.
