ATTENTION: Road closure in George:
There’s a road closure through George on L-14 — that’s the north-south road that runs through George and goes by Casey’s — AKA Kennedy Avenue in the rural area.
The road is closed from East Dakota Ave (that’s A34 or 210th in the country) to East Calumet Avenue, which is on the south edge of George. (basically 6 blocks north to south)
Detours to head south from A34 (aka 210th) and L-14 (aka Kennedy Avenue) —
- East detour: Take A-34 to L-26 or Marsh Avenue, then south to 230th.
- West detour: Take A-34 to K-60 (that’s the Edna road), then south to 260th (also known as A-52).
Northbound traffic could follow either detour in reverse.
No semi trucks are allowed through the city of George unless it’s a delivery to a business. Please use Detours!!
