Sheldon, Iowa — What has become a tradition at Sheldon’s East Elementary School was continued this (Friday) morning, when the school’s staff and faculty greeted the arriving students in costume…from the roof of the school building.
The tradition began several years ago, when East Elementary teachers and staff greeted the arriving students on the last morning of class before the Christmas break. The event has had several themes over the years, beginning with “Elf on the School” for that first year.
This year’s theme was “We Wish You A Mario Christmas”, with teachers, staff and administrators dressed as Mario Brothers characters, greeting the arriving students and enjoying their smiles.
