Maurice, Iowa – A motor vehicle accident near Maurice sent one man to the hospital Saturday.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office at 7:32 a.m. Saturday 33-year-old James Harpenau of Maurice was driving a Black 2014 Jeep Wrangler westbound on 500th Street when he lost control of the vehicle, entered the north ditch, and rolled.
Harpenau was transported by Sioux Center Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of minor injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Maurice Fire Department, Maurice First Responders, and Sioux Center Ambulance.
