Motor Vehicle Accident North Of Sioux Center Sends Two To The Hospital

Sioux Center, Iowa – On Friday, February 16, at 10:14 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 75, three miles north of Sioux Center, IA.

Brighton Morris, age 23, of Blanchester, OH, was driving a 2020 Jeep Compass northbound on Highway 75; he stopped for other vehicles before attempting to turn left onto 350th Street. James Jensen, age 38, of Cleghorn, IA, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 northbound on Highway 75 when he struck the rear of the Jeep.

Morris was transported by the Sioux Center Ambulance to the Sioux Center Health for treatment of minor injuries. A passenger in the jeep was transported to by private vehicle to Sioux Center Health for treatment of minor injuries.

The Jeep sustained approximately $20,000 in damage; the Pontiac sustained an estimated $2,500 in damage.

Jensen was cited for following too close and no liability insurance.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Fire Department, Sioux Center Ambulance and Iowa State Patrol.
