Sheldon, Iowa – An annual event to introduce NCC students to what the community of Sheldon has to offer, was held Wednesday at NCC.
Some two dozen Sheldon businesses and non-profits were on-hand to greet and meet with the students. Several hundred students took part, visiting the exhibits of the businesses, learning about what each business has to offer, as well as job opportunities that are available in Sheldon, before sharing lunch together.
Local entities appearing at the “A Taste of Sheldon” event ran the gamut from banks to restaurants to service agencies to churches to KIWA Radio.
“A Taste of Sheldon” is an annual event held by Northwest Iowa Community College, in the Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center (LLRC) gym.
