Northwestern College Band Starts Spring Tour In Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — The Northwestern College Symphonic Band started their tour of the state Thursday morning, with a concert in Sheldon.

Thursday’s concert in the Wansink Center Gym on the campus of Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon was led by Northwestern College Symphonic Band Director Dr. Angela (Holt) Carlson. Dr. Carlson was our guest on a recent edition of our KIWA Talk of the Town program. She tells us about the members of the band.

She tells us they’re glad they get to tour the state.

Dr. (Holt) Carlson says they’re looking forward to sharing the love of God through the gift of music. She tells us about some of the pieces they’ll be playing as their tour continues.
