Sanborn, Iowa — The O’Brien County Economic Development Office has moved — to Sanborn.
O’Brien County Economic Development Director Kiana Johnson tells us more.
Johnson gives us a little background.
Johnson says with the kind of work they do, they have to maintain clients’ confidentiality for many reasons, and that’s another reason they moved out of the courthouse — but it’s also another reason for the move to Sanborn. She says it was common for people to be waiting to see someone in the Economic Development office, and they would be out in the open in the public space at City Hall. She says that wasn’t ideal. She says the new Sanborn location will be a better environment for those meetings.
