Spencer, Iowa – The open-class livestock entry deadline is quickly approaching for the 2024 Clay County Fair.
All entries for Open-Class Beef, Dairy, Horse, Rabbit, Sheep, and Swine are due by midnight on Monday, August 19.
The Beef Department will award $1,000 each to the Champion Bull and Champion Female during the Open Class Supreme Beef Selection on Saturday, September 14th.
The Horse Department will also present generous monetary prizes for the North American Six-Horse Hitch Classic Series, with the first-place winner taking home $2,000.
Open class entries in all six livestock departments are open to anyone from any county or state. Exhibitors are encouraged to check out the 2024 handbooks which can be found online or picked up in the fair office.
