Orange City, Iowa– An Orange City woman was taken to the hospital after an accident in Orange City on Friday, October 24, 2025.
The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 1:45 p.m., 17-year-old Kamryn Weg of Orange City was driving a 2020 Chevy eastbound on Highway 10 in Orange City. They tell us that 80-year-old Sharon Kleis of Orange City was southbound on Frankfort Avenue Southeast in a 2020 Honda.
The report says that Kleis told the officer that she had a green light. Weg was turning south onto Frankfort Avenue Southeast. Weg advised the officer that she was making a right on red turn.
The Orange City Ambulance took Kleis to Orange City Health System Hospital.
The vehicles sustained $8000 in damage, each.
