Organizations Doing Winter Wear And Diaper Drive For Ukraine

Rock Rapids, Iowa — The war in Ukraine continues. It’s been going on for four years now. And people who are involved in humanitarian aid say the need continues, and if anything, it’s expanding.

The Mission Committee from the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids is working with Paul Logan from “Arise! Ukraine” and Gordie Siebring from Aid for Ukraine to collect winter gear of all sizes to be shipped to Ukraine this month.

Susan Van Wyhe from Rock Rapids First Reformed says they’re helping out by sending shipping containers to Ukraine.

Winter coats, hats, boots, and blankets are being sent. In addition to winter gear, a special request has been made, says Van Wyhe.

The Mission Committee has arranged for a Justice For All van to be in Rock Rapids.

She says if you cannot deliver your items to Rock Rapids during these times, they can be dropped at the Justice For All building in Rock Valley at 1335 Valley Drive until November 14th. Your items should be marked “For Ukraine.” If you have questions concerning this, you can contact Susan Van Wyhe at 712-898-8588 or Carol Groen at 605-940-7237.
