Sioux City, Iowa — The 3A Judicial Nominating Commission has received six applications for a vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of District Court Judge Nancy Whittenburg.
Those who have applied include Adam Miller of Cherokee, Andrew Smith of Alta, Elizabeth Specketer of Rembrandt, Lisa Steffen of Milford, Melanie Summers Bauler of Estherville, and Osceola County Attorney Nolan McGowan of Sibley.
Each applicant will appear before the entire commission for a personal interview at the Dickinson County Courthouse on Friday, September 20th.
Judicial Sub-District 3A includes Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola and Palo Alto counties.
