Rock Valley, Iowa – A Rock Valley man was injured early Friday afternoon after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding near Rock Valley.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, around 1:00 pm Friday, 55-year-old Gregory Van Peursem of Rock Valley was driving a 2025 Honda motorcycle on Dove Avenue, a mile west of Rock Valley when he entered onto the shoulder of the roadway and lost control of the motorcycle.
Deputies say Van Peursem was transported by Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Health Center for treatment of his injuries.
The Honda sustained an estimated $7,500 in damage.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department, Rock Valley Fire Department and Rock Valley Ambulance.
