Des Moines, Iowa (KTIV) — With last year’s RAGBRAI starting in Orange City, there wasn’t much chance it would start in our corner of Iowa again in 2026. But Saturday night, we learned it will start further south this year.
Bike enthusiasts and riders from the United States and globally will make their way to Iowa to participate. RAGBRAI is the oldest, longest, and largest recreational bicycle touring event.
On Saturday night, organizers announced the route for RAGBRAI LIII. The annual bike tour is expected to start on Saturday, July 18th, in Onawa, Iowa.
They will travel through:
- Onawa, Iowa
- Harlan, Iowa
- Guthrie Center, Iowa
- Boone, Iowa
- Marshalltown, Iowa
- Independence, Iowa
- Dyersville, Iowa
- Dubuque, Iowa
The ride ends Saturday, July 25th.
