Sheldon, Iowa — It’s that time of year again. Time to get your flu shot.
Dr. Amy Wingert with Sanford Sheldon Medical Center says there are many different kinds of vaccinations, and all of them are important.
Wingert tells us how you can get your flu shot.
Sanford experts say that when those who make the flu vaccine put it together, they have to do research to see which strains of flu will be the most prevalent this flu season, and sometimes, it’s not a perfect match. But it’s still a good idea to get your flu shot.
Sanford Health tells us the CDC recommends annual flu vaccines for everyone 6 months and older, especially those at higher risk of complications including pregnant women, older adults, and young children.
The clinic is located at 800 Oak Street in Sheldon. Oak Street is under construction at this time, so Sanford officials tell us that from 7th Avenue, turn east onto Oak Street, then turn right into the ER driveway, and drive under the canopy to get to the parking lot.
