Sheldon, Iowa — The City of Sheldon is earning more interest on bank accounts than they were previously.
That’s from Sheldon City Manager Sam Kooiker. He says it was due to a request for proposals that the City made recently.
Kooiker even suggests that other communities’ city councils take a look at requesting banking proposals to help their financial situation.
The council approved the five-year proposal from Peoples Bank in early August.
