Sheldon Finishes January With Only 2.6 Inches Of Snow Since September

Sheldon, Iowa — The month of January was very dry in Sheldon.

According to the weather facts collected by KIWA Radio, the highest high was 57 degrees, recorded on January 30th That temperature broke a record of 54, set in 1964. The lowest high temperature was -6 degrees, recorded on January 20th.

The lowest low in the month was 15-below, on both January 20th and 21st. We recorded below-zero low temperatures nine times in January. The highest low was 27 on the 31st.

The average high for the month was 28. The normal is 25. The average low was 5. The normal is 4. The average temperature as-a-whole for the month was 17 degrees, and normally it’s 15.
