Sheldon, Iowa – The Sheldon Fire Department announced its yearly awards at its annual Christmas party Saturday, December 14th.
Dean Paulsen earned the Fire Fighter of the Year Award. The Sheldon Fire Department said: “When Dean was asked if he was interested in the Truck Captains position, he was unsure and nervous about it. But after being elected to position, he has stepped up and taken ownership in that role”.
Receiving five years of service awards are Kyle Huss, Michael Paulsen and Maison Oostra. Receiving 10 years of service to the Sheldon Fire Company Captain Dean Paulsen. Receiving 35 years of service to the Sheldon Fire Company Captain John Sachen.
The Sheldon Fire Company says it is grateful for Kyle, Michael, Maison, John and their families for the many years of service to the Fire Company.
