Sheldon, Iowa – The Sheldon Area Ministerial Association, as well as the Hy-Vee and Fareway grocery stores in Sheldon, have all partnered with KIWA Radio to solicit and collect non-perishable food items for those in the area who are suffering from the lack of SNAP Benefits caused by the U.S. Government Shutdown.
Fareway and Hy-Vee each have carts set out, complete with signs that let you know where to leave your donations while in the store. The Sheldon Ministerial Association member churches have boxes out inviting their congregants to donate, as well.
All the food collected will be shared with O’Brien County’s UDMO Food Bank in Primghar, as well as Honor God Ministries and Love, INC, both of Sheldon.
