Sheldon Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident South Of Town

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man has died as a result of a motorcycle accident south of Sheldon on Wednesday night.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at a few minutes before 11:00 p.m., 27-year-old Jeremy Korth of Sheldon was driving a 2012 Harley Road Glide southbound on Highway 60, when he left the roadway and the motorcycle entered the west ditch. It rolled and Korth was ejected from the motorcycle.

The report says the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team (SCAT) took him to Sanford Sheldon. He was later flown to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, where he died as a result of his injuries.

The Harley sustained approximately $18,000 in damage.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, Sheldon Fire Company, and SCAT assisted them with the response to the crash.
