Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man has been arrested on felony drug charges.
Based on a criminal complaint from the Sheldon Police Department filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court, 28-year-old Aaron Holtrop of Sheldon was arrested on Friday for allegedly possessing a felony amount of marijuana.
In his statement, the officer says Holtrop had in his possession 81.7 grams of marijuana. The officer notes that the amount is consistent with the intent to deliver and not a personal user amount.

If convicted, Holtrop could face up to five years in prison on each charge. He also faces misdemeanor charges of unlawful possession of a prescription drug, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless use of a firearm, and false report to a public entity.
He faces a preliminary hearing on April 13th.
