Sheldon, Iowa — One of this weekend’s Celebration Days Activities will be a Glow Walk on Sunday evening.
The walk is put on by the Sheldon Recreational Trails Committee and Sanford Sheldon. Beth Hamill and Teri Elgersma of the Sheldon Recreational Trails Committee were in-studio on Friday morning to tell us about it.
Elgersma tells us about the “Rec Trails Committee.”
They say they hope to install more trails in the future.
According to Elgersma, this event is not a fundraiser — but more a PR and fun event for the community. She says it’s free.
This weekend’s Glow Walk, sponsored by the Sheldon Recreational Trails Committee and Sanford Sheldon, will begin at 8:30 this Sunday evening (August 31st) at the pond south of the Crossroads Pavilion.
Find out more about the Glow Walk on the Sheldon Rec Trails Facebook page.
Hamill and Elgersma made their comments Friday morning on the KIWA Talk of the Town Program, which can be heard on weekday mornings at 8:30 on KIWA-FM 105.3. We also post a podcast of every Talk of The Town Program, and you can find those by clicking here.
