Sheldon, Iowa — It’s almost time for the annual fundraising drive in Sheldon.
For those who may be new to town, the President of the Sheldon United Fund Board, Dominic Seivert, tells us what the United Fund is.
He says the idea is that the United Fund seeks donations in Sheldon instead of each individual organization having to go out to solicit funds separately. It’s less work for the organizations and less hassle for the donors.
He says we’re only a few days from the start of the drive.
The Sheldon United Fund’s address for donations is PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. He tells us all of the organizations that your donations can help.

You can choose which organization or organizations to give to, or you can just give a general donation, which will be split among the organizations, says Seivert.
He says they also have a celebration coming up.
Seivert says some employers will help you make a donation to the United Fund Drive through payroll deduction, and some will even match your personal donation with one from the company.
