Sioux Center, Iowa – The Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce announced this past week it’s inaugural SCENE Cohort.
This newly launched workforce initiative was developed to help area businesses strengthen employee engagement, growth, and retention.
SCENE was designed in response to a common theme heard from area employers: the desire for more ways to invest in their workforce through professional development and community connection. This program offers participants opportunities to build relationships, grow as leaders, and engage meaningfully in Sioux Center—all while strengthening ties between employees and the place they work and live.
Sioux Center Chamber and SCENE Steering Committee member Barb Den Herder said the goal with SCENE is to empower professionals at every stage of their career, to grow, connect and contribute. Den Herder also felt this program will have a ripple effect to enrich not just the participants, but the entire community.
There are five events scheduled throughout the year that will focus on networking through connections, personal & professional growth, and meaningful service.
Participants were nominated by their employers and represent a variety of industries and experience levels.
