Sioux Rapids Firm Awarded Funds To Replace Flood-Damaged Equipment

Sioux Rapids, IA – The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board Friday approved award money for a Sioux Rapids business to replace flood-damaged equipment.

Ranco Fertiservice manufactures dry fertilizer blending and handles equipment for ag fertilizer retailers. The company plans to replace equipment deemed inoperable due to flooding earlier this summer. The new equipment will bring back production in-house at Ranco’s Sioux Rapids facility, increase efficiency, and allow opportunities for employees to obtain new skills. The project represents a capital investment of nearly two million dollars, and was awarded a 500 thousand dollar grant through the High Quality Jobs program.

Ranco is a 100 percent employee-owned company.
