Some FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers To Permanently Close In NW Iowa

Des Moines, Iowa — Some FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers in northwest Iowa will be permanently closing. FEMA says the centers in Buena Vista, O’Brien, and Palo Alto counties will be permanently shutting down at 6:00 p.m. this Friday, August 30th.

Centers in Clay, Dickinson, Lyon, and Sioux counties remain open, but closing dates have been set for those centers as well.

The center in Dickinson County, at the Expo Building in Spirit Lake, is temporarily closed and will reopen at 1:00 pm this coming Tuesday.

Again, the FEMA Center at the Sheldon Community Services Center is closing this Friday.
