Larchwood, Iowa– A Burbank, South Dakota woman was taken to the hospital after an accident near Larchwood on Friday, June 13, 2025.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 11:40 a.m., 26-year-old Keith Wollman of Henderson, Minnesota, was driving a 2014 Peterbilt semi southbound on Highway 9, a mile south of Grand Falls Casino and the state line. They tell us that 71-year-old Carla Jensen of Burbank, South Dakota was also southbound on 9 in a 2021 Ford Bronco.
The report says that the Wollman semi had slowed to make a right turn onto a private drive. Jensen allegedly failed to slow and wait for the Wollman semi to complete the turn. The report says Jensen attempted to pass on the right side while the Wollman semi was making the turn. Jensen’s Bronco struck the Wollman semi in the front bumper with the driver’s door of Jensen’s Bronco. The Bronco spun out into the southbound ditch.
The Lyon County Ambulance took Jensen to Sanford University Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Wollman’s Peterbilt semi sustained $5,000 in damages, and Jensen’s Ford Bronco sustained $15,000 in damages.
