Success Beyond Graduation: Northwestern’s Impressive 99.5% Placement Rate

Orange City, Iowa — Northwestern College’s Class of 2024 boasts an impressive 99.5% placement rate within six months of graduation. A survey conducted by the college’s Compass Center for Career and Calling revealed that 80% of graduates are employed, 19% are pursuing further education, and 0.5% are volunteering or not seeking employment.

Northwestern’s survey response rate was 100%, significantly higher than the 65% national standard set by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Dr. Elizabeth Pitts, director of the Compass Center, credits the education and experiences at Northwestern for preparing graduates for their careers and further studies, while also providing a biblical framework for their vocations.

Graduates from the class of 2024 have secured positions at over 143 companies and organizations, including the Mayo Clinic, Fidelity Investments, and KELO TV. Roles held by these graduates range from credit analyst to multimedia journalist and social studies teacher. The average starting salary for full-time employed graduates is $52,878, with the highest reported salary at $93,600.

Additionally, 19% of the class is continuing their education at prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Iowa State, and Princeton Theological Seminary. Northwestern alumni are now living and working in 22 states, four other countries, and Washington, D.C., with 54% remaining in Iowa.
