Boyden, Iowa – Two people from Spencer were arrested Saturday following a traffic stop near Boyden.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office tells us that during the course of the traffic stop the deputy discovered that Chrispher McKee’s drivers’ license was barred and he had multiple warrants from other jurisdictions. A Rock Valley Police Department K-9 was requested to sniff the vehicle; the K-9 positively indicated the presence of a controlled substance. As a result, a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
Christopher Mckee an Amanda McKee, the passenger in the vehicle, were transported to the Sioux County Jail where Christopher was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a barred driver’s license and Amanda was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Rock Valley Police Department.
