Two Sheldon Natives To Be Inducted Into Sheldon Historical Society Hall Of Fame On Saturday

Sheldon, Iowa — On Saturday, as a part of Celebration Days activities, two Sheldon natives will be inducted into the Sheldon Historical Society Hall of Fame.

Tom Whorley is one of the people who are in charge, and he tells us the names of those being inducted.

Whorley says Dr. Stamp is a chemist who has been involved with many well-known foods and food products.

These are just a few of the myriad of Dr. Stamp’s accomplishments, says Whorley.

He tells us about Dr. Den Hartog.

Whorley emphasizes that both inductees’ accomplishments would fill books. He encourages people to come to the ceremony on Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Sheldon Community Services Center, second floor, across from KIWA Radio. There will be coffee and donuts, and you’ll have a chance to meet the inductees as well. He says the Sheldon Historical Society is very proud to induct Drs. Stamp and Den Hartog.
