Two Taken To Hospital After Primghar Area Accident

Primghar, Iowa– A Sanborn man and a Sheldon woman were taken to the hospital after an accident near Primghar on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that at about 1:40 p.m., 38-year-old Anthony Schueller of Sanborn was driving a 1999 White truck westbound on B40, four miles west of Primghar. They tell us that 36-year-old Molly Sauer of Sheldon was also westbound on B40 in a 2015 GMC Yukon, in front of Schueller.

The report says that Sauer went to turn left onto Polk Avenue. Schueller went to pass Sauer at the same time. The vehicles collided. Schueller stated that Sauer had her flashers on and not a turn signal. Sauer stated she turned her flashers off and turned on her left turn signal.   

The Primghar Ambulance took Schueller to Sanford Sheldon Hospital. Sauer’s husband took her to Sanford Sheldon Hospital.

Schueller’s White truck sustained $20,000 in damages, enough to total the vehicle, and Sauer’s GMC Yukon sustained $15,000 in damages.

Schueller was charged with passing too near a bridge, intersection, or railroad; operation without registration card or plat; and failure to maintain or use safety belts.
