Ocheyedan, Iowa — A company in Osceola County has been named by U.S. Senator Joni Ernst as her “Business of the Week” for this week.
Boernsen Bees was founded by Marlene Boernsen in 2004. The business started off by selling to local farmers’ markets. It soon expanded. Boernsen Bees today manufactures 18 products, including creamed honey in more than 20 flavors, honey lemonade, body lotions, lip balms, beeswax candles, and more.
The business also provides bees and basic beekeeping supplies.
