Spender, Iowa — It’s day three of the Clay County Fair Powered by SMU. It’s Veterans’ Day at the fair with free admission for all active military members and veterans. There was a parade and special program for veterans this (Mon.) morning. Jason Brockshus, Clay County Fair General Manager, says the observance continued into the afternoon with some veteran-themed entertainment.
This (Mon.) evening’s grandstand entertainment is also veteran-related, with the group Home Free being featured.
On a food-related note, Brockshus says the winner of the World’s Greatest County Fair Food Contest was announced Sunday.
Tomorrow (Tues.) will be another full day of events at the Clay County Fair Powered by SMU. It will be Senior Day and FFA Day.
