David Lee Ludvigson was born on September 28, 1938, in Grand Meadow, Minnesota to Harold and Lucille Ludvigson.
He and his family moved to Rock Rapids, Iowa at the age of one. David grew up on a farm there and went to school in a one-room country schoolhouse where he was the only child in his class from kindergarten to eighth grade. David graduated from the University of Iowa Law School, where he earned the prestigious Order of the Coif Award.
After graduation, he moved to San Francisco, California to become an Associate at the Law Firm of Pillsbury, Madison, and Sutro. Subsequently, he was General Counsel, Vice President, and Directory for Natomas Company, as well as Senior Counsel at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. David retired in 1991 as Executive Vice President and Director of California Energy Company.
Retirement brought worldwide travel adventures, along with household moves to Calistoga, California; Reno, Nevada; Sequim, Washington, and finally to Sedona, Arizona with his beloved wife Susan.
Davis has two sons, Brent (Janice) of Navato, California, and Adam (Helen) of Vancouver, Washington; as well as grandchildren, Cole, Kaila, Joshua, and Logan. He is predeceased by his son, Eric Stephen.
There will be no service per his request.
