Donald Salzman, age 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Sheldon, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2019, in Las Vegas.
Don was born February 11, 1935, in Sibley, Iowa, and graduated from Sibley High School. He married Jo Ann (nee Wolter) on July 21, 1956, in Sibley before moving to Sheldon in 1969. Don and Jo raised four children: Valerie (Patrick) McCammon, Christine (Jerry) Janssen, Jack (Geri) Salzman and Neal (Shelly) Salzman. Don is survived by four grandchildren: Jill (Rich) Jeffords, Michael Janssen, Zachary Salzman and Dylan Salzman; and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Atchison and Mary Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Tina (nee Krueger); brothers Wendell Salzman, Elmer Salzman and Willis Salzman; and sister Marguerite Lucks.
Don worked as an area route salesman for Kitty Clover and then worked at Hy-Vee in Sheldon. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Las Vegas.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements for 84-year-old Donald Salzman are under the care of Dignity Memorial Home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
