Harold C. “Huey” Brewster, age 81, of Sioux City, formerly of Sheldon passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City. His funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon with Father Siby Punnoose, officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Matlock.
Visitation with family present will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Harold “Huey” Craig Brewster the son of Donald Robert and Leorna Marian (Milenberg) Brewster was born on July 17, 1943 in Sheldon, Iowa. He attended schools in Matlock and Sheldon graduating from Sheldon Public School in 1961. Harold continued his education graduating from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. During this time, he worked on his Uncle Clarence Milenberg’s farm in Fall Creek, Wisconsin. Harold worked for the Illinois Central Gulf railroad until he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served from 1964 to 1966. After being Honorably Discharged he returned to the Illinois Central Railroad as a brakeman, eventually working for the Canadian National Railroad. Harold retired in 2003. He passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 at Unity Point St. Lukes Hospital in Sioux City, reaching the age of 81 years, 3 months and 17 days.
Harold always put everyone else first. Family was very important to him. Several years ago, he began the weekly family SKYPE calls.
Harold is survived by his siblings; Roger (Mary Jane) Brewster of Saint Cloud, Minnesota; Ted Brewster of Worthington, Minnesota; Gregory (Nancy) Brewster of Sheldon, Iowa; Kevin (Barb) Brewster of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Mary Patterson of Princeton, Texas a sister-in-law, Connie Brewster of Sheldon, Iowa; and his special friend, Josh Ruschmann of Sioux City, Iowa; also many nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Leorna; brothers, David, Paul, Jerome, Robert and Tim.
