Marilyn K. Pulscher, age 72, of Sheldon passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Her service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa with Rev. Craig Nissen officiating. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Iowa.
Visitation will be after 4 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 with family present from 5 – 7 P.M. at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, Iowa.

Marilyn Kay Pulscher, the daughter of Peter and Jacoba (Timis) Wildeman was born on January 15, 1942 in Sheldon, Iowa. She received her education from Sheldon School district. On June 3, 1961 she was united in marriage to Francis Pulscher in Sheldon, Iowa. After their marriage the couple resided in Sheldon while raising their family. Marilyn worked for Jay’s in Sanborn for twenty-eight years as well as the Sheldon Hospital for twelve and Home Health and Hospice for seven. She moved into the Lake Park Care Center in November of 2013. Marilyn passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, reaching the age of 72 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Marilyn loved being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren’s events throughout the years and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid follower of Sheldon High School sporting events.
Left to cherish Marilyn’s memory is her husband, Francis Pulscher of Sheldon; five children, Ron and his wife Karla of Sheldon, Jim and his wife Crystal of Woodbine, Iowa, Bob and his special friend Nancy of Algonquin, Illinois, Rick and his wife Sue of Hospers, Iowa and Dan Pulscher of Sheldon; eleven grandchildren, Nick, Alesha, Nate, Kaitlyn, Desta, Kayla, Daniel, Amanda, Haley, Courtney and Katie; five great grandchildren, Beau, Ruby, Hurley, Tinley and Jayde; six siblings, Wilma Niichel, Arnie and his wife Greta Wildeman, Terry and his wife Jolene Wildeman, Joey and his wife Wanda Wildeman, Becky and her husband Mark Klemme and Sherry and her husband Hank Mulder; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marilyn is preceded in death by an infant daughter, her parents and a brother, Petey Wildeman.
