Victor W. Schulz, age 98, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on March 22, 2020. Per his wishes, his body was deeded to the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon.
Vic was born January 26, 1922, in Tripp, South Dakota, the son of Edward Rheinhold and Marie Anna Baetke Schulz. He graduated George High school and in 1946 graduated Wartburg College. Vic enlisted in the US Army Air Corp, serving from March 1943 to October 1945. On June 7, 1950, Vic married Frances Ann Langholz. Vic worked for Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1987.
Those left to honor Vic’s memory are his daughter Tjode Nus of Muscatine and son Doug (Dana) Schulz of Kansas City; grandchildren Michael (Michelle) Nus and their children Karissa and Camden; Steven (Jennifer) Nus and their children Logan, Bennett, and Eleanor; Jared Schulz; Carson Schulz; Laurel Ann Schulz; and Jocelyn Schulz.
Vic was preceded in death by his wife Fran in 1989, his parents, and his sister Eleanor.
